Druva is proud to announce that we have been approved as a StateRAMP Authorized Vendor. We are the first, and only SaaS data protection vendor whose products and solutions have obtained this status.
StateRAMP authorization gives government and procurement officials confidence in a service provider’s data security capabilities and provides a central location for sourcing StateRAMP-verified Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), and/or Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solutions. This standardized approach allows providers serving governments to verify their security posture and prove their cybersecurity compliance to their government clients.
The World Economic Forum’s Global Cybersecurity Outlook 2023 found that 93% of cybersecurity experts and 86% of business leaders believe that global instability will have a negative impact on their ability to ensure cybersecurity over the next two years.
As a result, state, local, and education (SLED) government entities continue to be lucrative targets for ransomware threat actors. As a result, cybersecurity continues to be a top key procurement trend in SLED and percolating grants by the Department of Homeland Security are likely to fuel this further in 2023 according to the Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA).
“Data resilience solutions are a necessary part of today’s IT infrastructure for state and local government agencies given the increasing threats from cyber-criminals,” said Jonathan Haveles, Regional VP, Public Sector, at Druva. “Providing organizations with a trusted, secure data protection experience is at the core of everything we do. Druva’s inclusion as a StateRAMP Authorized Vendor demonstrates our commitment to helping state and local governments to secure their data as they accelerate digital transformation across their IT environment.”
SLED government entities can now search for and see Druva listed in the StateRAMP vendor repository in the authorized product list. As of today, there are 20+ States listed under the StateRAMP umbrella where the StateRAMP authorization is a requirement as part of their digital transformation.
Druva was sponsored by the StateRAMP Approvals Committee as part of its authorization process. This decision was made because Druva has supported hundreds of thousands of end users with its FedRAMP ATO cloud since 2017, establishing a long-lasting first-mover advantage over other industry providers. Druva, is the leading enterprise-class, 100% SaaS data protection vendor with a FedRAMP Moderate ATO certification, and serves over forty government agencies including the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the National Institute of Health (NIH).
The Druva Data Resiliency Cloud (FedRAMP Moderate ATO), is hosted on the AWS GovCloud, a sovereign cloud dedicated to U.S. government agencies and contractors. AWS is the only cloud infrastructure provider with the FedRAMP High ATO accreditation today.
