Why Safe Mode is Critical for Your Data
Safe Mode provides an essential layer of defense during a security incident. It acts as a digital lockdown, restricting access to your Cloud platform and adding crucial data restrictions.
Using Safe Mode, you can:
Instantly contain breaches: Limit potential damage by controlling access and operations during an attack.
Maintain granular control: Decide exactly who can access your data and what actions (like backups, restores, or downloads) are permitted.
Enable rapid response: Empower your teams with a self-service option or allow authorized support to activate it immediately upon threat detection.
How to Configure Safe Mode? To ensure the fastest possible response, it is critical to configure Safe Mode and authorize Support to activate Safe Mode for your account.
This crucial configuration allows our team to take immediate action if a threat to your backup infrastructure or data is detected, either by you or by our periodic scans of your backed-up data. Safe Mode leverages the Response capabilities of the Managed Data Detection and Response (MDDR) service for continuous threat monitoring. Learn more about MDDR here.

Strengthen your security with the Cyber Resiliency Readiness Score
We're thrilled to unveil the Cyber Resiliency Readiness Score, a new feature offering a clear, real-time snapshot of your organization's resilience, and included with our Cyber Resilience solutions (Security & Posture Observability and Accelerated Ransomware Recovery). This interactive widget tracks your readiness and allows you to adjust your Cyber Resilience settings on the go. Located on both the Druva Cloud Platform dashboard and within the Security Center, the scorecard is designed to help you quickly understand and implement our full suite of security offerings.

Introducing RDS Airgap Data Protection for RDS databases and clusters. Leverage a true cloud-native, agentless platform that brings end-to-end protection and unified management experience, ensuring air-gapped data security for EC2 and RDS resources. Significantly, they reduce the risk of unauthorized access or tampering with backup data with airgapped cloud storage, ensuring data integrity and reliable data recovery. We're excited to announce that this feature, previously in a limited availability, is now generally available for all users.

Enhanced security and encryption for RDS Airgap Restores
We are excited to announce enhancements to the restore workflow for RDS Airgap Data Protection to ensure secure access to your restored instances and enhanced flexibility in managing encryption keys.
Experience greater flexibility in selecting your KMS encryption keys, with better access control to manage keys across multiple AWS accounts. With enhanced support for cross-account key usage, you can now seamlessly restore air-gapped backups of your RDS databases and clusters.

Azure SQL - Secure data for years and lower costs with Azure SQL LTR
Long Term Retention (LTR) is now available to help you address essential compliance and regulatory requirements. Tailored for enterprises needing to preserve data for a year or more, LTR ensures you meet retention mandates while significantly reducing storage costs over time.
As data ages, LTR automatically reduces expenses by transitioning snapshots to lower-cost cold storage tiers.
With LTR, you can:
Address legal and compliance needs by protecting data for the long term.
Reduce your overall data protection and storage costs.
Ensure older snapshots consume fewer credits as they move to cold archive storage.
