What your peers are saying: Druva receives highest Overall Rating (4.9/5)*

Many organizations are under threat of data loss like never before — and even with the best precautions, it is only a matter of time before a disaster or an attack happens. That’s why organizations are turning to Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) — they can confidently protect against disasters and attacks, while ensuring business continuity and long-term survival of the business.

With DRaaS, there are multiple benefits like automated disaster recovery and testing, and Gartner1 describes DRaaS as, “[…] a productized service offering in which the provider manages server image and production data replication to the cloud, disaster recovery run book creation, automated server recovery within the cloud, automated server failback from the cloud, and network element and functionality configuration, as needed.”

Evaluating DRaaS

When you evaluate enterprise DRaaS, you typically have a long checklist of needs, from specific features to pricing and support quality. After you’ve found products where most or all of your boxes are checked, you start looking through objective reviews. You’ll check out tech analyst firms or other research organizations. But to finally make a decision, you’ll trust your peers — your friends and colleagues who’ve actually used a product or its competitors’. What do they recommend after hands-on experience?

We believe, to enable this time-honored evaluation methodology, Gartner offers Gartner Peer Insights — as Gartner describes, the goal is to help IT leaders make more insightful purchase decisions and help technology providers improve their products by receiving objective, unbiased feedback from their customers. Gartner recently published, “Gartner Peer Insights ‘Voice of the Customer’: Disaster Recovery as a Service.” Per Gartner, “The “Voice of the Customer” is a document that synthesizes Gartner Peer Insights’ reviews for the previous year into insights for IT decision makers.” We think the results were compelling, and here’s a summary.
