From smarter ways to protect and manage your data to a big recognition we’re celebrating – yes, Druva has been named a Leader in the 2025 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Backup and Data Protection Platforms! In this product update, we’ll dive into how our fully managed, cloud-native platform is delivering autonomous data protection, robust cyber resilience, and AI-powered insights. Let’s get into it!

This quarter, we’re excited to introduce powerful new features designed to enhance your Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience and make data retention for Salesforce more flexible than ever. For more details and information on additional features not covered here, check out our product documentation. Now, let’s explore what’s new.

Introducing Data Exception Rules & Alerts for Microsoft Dynamics 365

Imagine real-time alerts at your fingertips, helping you detect potential data risks before they escalate. With Data Exception Rules & Alerts, we’re bringing proactive monitoring to your Microsoft Dynamics 365 environment, so you can prevent accidental changes or malicious activity and ensure the integrity of your data. Gain full visibility over your Microsoft Dynamics 365 data. Learn more

  • Custom Rule Creation: Set thresholds for record additions, updates, or deletions across all entities or selected ones. Monitor only what matters most to your business.
  • Real-Time Alerts: Stay informed with instant alerts that highlight abnormal activity, whether it’s accidental changes or suspicious spikes.
  • Faster Investigations: Receive direct links to affected backup jobs, making it easier to trace and resolve data issues swiftly.
  • Enhanced Security: Reduce the risk of data loss or breaches by taking action as soon as unusual behavior is detected.

Simplify Retention with Greater Flexibility for Backup Licenses

Managing your organization's data retention just got an upgrade. With our latest enhancement, you now have the flexibility to retain Salesforce data for a minimum of 90 days, making it easier to meet critical industry regulations.

  • Retention Flexibility: You can now set a tailored retention period starting from 90 days to meet regulatory requirements specific to your industry or organization.

  • Optimized Snapshot Listings: Old entries are automatically filtered out according to your retention settings, ensuring your snapshot listings are cleaner, more efficient, and easier to manage.

New Backup Definition

Note- Once the retention period is reduced, it can't be increased. Snapshots are now optimized by removing old entries based on retention settings.

Distribution List Notifications in Druva Salesforce App

We know how critical visibility is when it comes to your organization's data protection. That’s why we’re excited to introduce a new feature in the Druva Salesforce App—now you can add email distribution lists (DLs) and/or users outside the project to receive email notifications. This ensures that alerts are shared collectively, providing broader visibility of backup status.

Navigate to Backup Definition to add the users:

Get simplified object selection in Archival Set

The Druva Salesforce App is now enhanced to provide seamless configuration for the Data Archiver set.

Key benefits:

  • Simplified user interface: for ease of child object configuration

Recover VMware data with Cyber Recovery Insights

We're announcing significant enhancements to your VMware data protection and recovery experience! These updates introduce new features and improve existing ones, giving you greater visibility and control over your data resilience within your VMware environment.

  • Reorganized Backups Tab: The Configured VMs page now includes two sub-tabs:
  • Operational Recovery: Quick access to snapshots with a new Restore button for faster recoveries.
  • Cyber Recovery: Focused insights for handling cyber recovery events.
  • New Trends Tab: View recovery point data from the last 30 days for a clearer historical overview.
  • Detailed Recovery Point Info: The Restore page now shows file activity, threats, and critical details for more informed recoveries.

The Summary tab remains unchanged. For more info, see "How to view configured VMs details."

Enhanced CloudCache R3 for improved data visibility

We’ve enhanced visibility into the synchronization status of your Hot recovery points, making it easier to monitor and manage your backups. You'll now see a total count of Unsynced recovery points for each backup set, as well as Unsynced backup sets for every CloudCache R3 device.

Additionally, we've introduced a new "Transient" recovery point state. This state represents recovery points that have exceeded their CloudCache retention period but are still in the process of syncing to the cloud. By clearly distinguishing this state, we’ve ensured that Warm recovery points remain fully synced and readily recoverable from the cloud, maintaining their reliability and integrity.

Azure storage support for CloudCache

CloudCache R3 is now supported with Azure storage for the following workloads:

  • Files Server

  • Nutanix AHV

  • VMware

  • NAS

  • Oracle DTC

Azure Private Endpoints support for private, secure connectivity

Druva now supports Azure Private Endpoints to keep all traffic between your Azure account and Druva private and secure. Connections use private endpoints within your VNet, ensuring data is not exposed to the public internet. For more information on how to configure Private Endpoints, see How to set up Private Endpoints for Azure SQL.

Strengthen AWS Workloads security with Quarantine Bay

Safeguard your organization against ransomware with Quarantine Bay, a powerful feature designed to isolate infected EC2 instances and EBS recovery points.
