SUNNYVALE, Calif. — Feb. 12, 2018 — Druva, Inc., the global leader in cloud data protection and management, today announced that Timm Hoyt, vice president of global channel sales, has been named to CRN’s prestigious list of 2018 Channel Chiefs for the second year in a row. The award distinguishes top leaders in IT who excel at driving growth and revenue through channel partners, further validating Hoyt and Druva’s extensive efforts in building a world-class channel program.
Channel Chief honorees are selected by CRN’s editorial staff on the basis of their professional achievements, standing in the industry, dedication to the channel partner community and strategies for driving future growth and innovation. Each of the 2018 Channel Chiefs has demonstrated loyalty and ongoing support for the IT channel by consistently promoting, defending and executing outstanding channel partner programs.
Hoyt leads Druva’s global channel organization, which drives revenues and thought leadership through its partner community — including resellers, system integrators, MSPs and strategic alliances. He brings over 15 years of experience in sales, marketing and business development at both public and privately held companies in the information and communications technology industry. He has held various leadership roles at Brocade, Skyera (acquired by Western Digital) and Atlantis Computing (acquired by Hive-IO).
In the past year, Druva’s partners delivered over 60 percent of all new business, versus just nine percent the year prior. This tremendous growth is attributed to the high-caliber partners within Druva’s ecosystem, the close alignment with strategic partners like AWS and the market’s strong desire for an offering like Druva’s.
“Channel partners are vital to the success of Druva, and have played a key role as we continue to expand globally,” said Hoyt. “We’re extremely appreciative for our partners’ trust and engagement, and delighted that CRN has acknowledged the work we’ve done together in delivering industry-leading cloud data protection and management to enterprises around the world, including for 10 percent of Fortune 500 companies.”
Druva recently announced its record growth in bookings and annual recurring revenue (ARR) performance, with more than 500 percent ARR growth in the second half of 2017 for its as-a-service data protection and management business, built on the integrated Druva Cloud Platform that includes Druva inSync and Druva Phoenix.
The 2018 CRN Channel Chiefs list, including the 50 Most Influential Channel Chiefs, is featured online at www.crn.com/channelchiefs and will appear in the February 2018 issue of CRN.
