SUNNYVALE, Calif. – June 13, 2019 – Druva, Inc., the leader in cloud data protection and management, today announced that Jaspreet Singh, founder and CEO, is a finalist for the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2019 Award in the Northern California region. Widely considered one of the most prestigious business awards programs in the U.S., it recognizes entrepreneurs and leaders of high-growth companies who excel in areas such as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities, while also investing in the local community.
Founding Druva, Singh and his co-founders recognized the need for a new data protection solution that would eliminate the reliance on unnecessary hardware, capacity planning and software management. As organizations increasingly transform their business with cloud, Druva delivers data protection and management across endpoint, data center and cloud workloads, which eliminates the dependence on complex infrastructure and time-consuming administration while cutting costs by more than 50 percent. In addition to recognizing the cloud era to come, Singh’s entrepreneurial spirit enabled him to bootstrap Druva, which has now raised almost $200M in venture funding from some of today’s most recognizable firms, including Sequoia Capital, Tenaya Capital, Riverwood Capital and Nexus Partners.

Now in its 33rd year, the Entrepreneur Of The Year program has expanded to recognize business leaders in more than 145 cities and more than 60 countries throughout the world. Singh was selected as a finalist by a panel of independent judges, and award winners will be announced at a special black-tie gala event on Friday, June 21 at the Fairmont San Jose. Regional award winners are eligible for consideration for the Entrepreneur Of The Year National competition.
