For end users, the solution is so simple to use that it’s virtually invisible. The backups are small and non-intrusive and require minimal end-user interaction.
Convenient Backup Scheduling
inSync’s opportunistic scheduling approach allows backups to be scheduled when it’s most convenient for users. The inSync agent delays the first backup of the day by 10 minutes after a user logs in to ensure that the user is not disturbed when starting to work. Backups that miss the scheduled windows are automatically resumed when bandwidth becomes available again.
Pre-Configured User Profiles
With inSync’s user profiles, it’s easy to create policies for backup and restore and to apply those policies to groups of users. There’s a default user profile provided out of the box, and creating new user profiles takes only a few minutes.
1-Click Email Setup
1-Click Quick Configuration helps administrators set up commonly used data sources such as email, desktop, documents etc. With a single click, inSync automatically searches and configures all Outlook PST or Apple Mail files for backup.
Automatic Client Upgrades
inSync makes it simple to deploy clients to multiple devices (using Active Directory or otherwise) and to have the clients upgrade automatically when there’s a new version of an application. The cost of managing upgrades is minimal.
Mass Deployment
inSync solves the enterprise deployment challenge with a mass client deployment feature that leverages utilities such as Active Directory, Microsoft SCCM and Casper (JAMF software). With the mass deployment feature, organizations can quickly and easily deploy inSync to users without requiring their involvement.
