For this month’s employee spotlight, we spoke with Wilson Lam, the Inbound Team Lead of Druva.
Wilson, please share your story with us. How did you discover Druva Inc.?
About a year ago, I was introduced to Druva by my friend Tim. I saw he was having a lot of success at the company and seemed to be really enjoying it, so I reached out to learn more about his role and what his daily routine looked like.
When he introduced me to Druva, I was intrigued by the product and how it was providing businesses significant value. Not only that, I saw Druva as a place with opportunities to work hard and build a successful career. That is what caught my eye when deciding to join the Druva team.
What is your official title, and what does your day-to-day schedule typically look like?
My official title is Inbound Team Lead, on the sales team. With that being said, my day usually consists of completing my daily targets; calling customers, building pipeline for future opportunities and supporting my team to achieve our end goals. I assist them in any area where they might need additional information, whether that be providing training content, technology overviews, or making sure everything is aligned with our target goals.
If you don’t mind us asking, what’s your favorite Druva perk?
I mean, the catered lunches are awesome! On top of that, the people are great. I really enjoy the people I work with, and everyone here is open to investing time into the younger generation who are building their careers. I feel very fortunate to be surrounded by such people here at Druva.
Alright, if you had to listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Oh man, this is hard. I’m going through a little bit of a hip hop phase, but if I’m going to be honest, it’s going to have to be some old school rock. We’re going to have to go with Led Zeppelin’s “Kashmir.”
Good choice, Wilson! But here’s a really tough question, what side of the PC or Mac debate are you on?
This is a huge debate going on in my life right now! I have been entertaining the idea of switching over to an Android phone, but I’m currently an Apple user. I do have a PC at home though. I guess I’m platform agnostic.
Fair enough! Lastly Wilson, tell us one thing not many know about you.
I am an Australian citizen. I was born in Australia so I have dual citizenship.
Wow, you’re a lucky guy! Thank you, Wilson for chatting with us!
