SUNNYVALE, Calif.

Druva, a leader in enterprise endpoint data protection and collaboration, today announced that Gartner, Inc., the leading provider of research and analysis on the global information technology industry, has rated Druva inSync “Excellent” for product viability in a recent report.

The Critical Capabilities report compared 11 solutions in two common use cases—mobile-workforce-centric versus office-workforce-centric—against 12 critical capabilities: device/OS diversity, content variety, heterogeneous restore, scalability, performance, data reduction techniques, data capture frequency, security, administrator experience, user experience, cloud services support and e-discovery functions. According to the report, “Gartner believes that the increased mobility of the workforce and business adoption of tablets are forcing organizations to face the challenge of protecting and backing up the portable devices their employees use. As a result, we are receiving an increasing volume of user inquiries on endpoint backup.”

“We couldn’t agree more with the findings of this report. Endpoint data protection is a critical pain point in the enterprise and has been severely underserved by legacy solutions,” said Jaspreet Singh, CEO of Druva. “We believe Gartner’s Excellent rating for product viability confirms Druva’s position in the market and our commitment to providing customers with a unified endpoint data management solution that allows IT to meet the unique challenges faced in embracing BYOD.”

Within the short four years since its founding, Druva has extended endpoint backup to endpoint data management and achieved technology leadership in this space. Druva inSync is the industry’s first and only solution that has unified award-winning backup, secure file sharing, and integrated DLP & analytics. The unified platform approach saves IT time and resources while providing end users with a single client experience across backup, sharing, and DLP that results in quick, widespread adoption.
