Update: inSync 4.1.0 (Build 4550 (580))
Enterprise and Professional Edition – March 7th, 2011
New features
- inSync 4.1 comes in two editions: Professional (<250 users, 2TB data) and Enterprise (up to 2000 users, 16TB data, 200 parallel connections).
- inSync 4.1 comes with a HyperCache capability that boosts performance (4x in Professional and up to 12x in Enterprise compared to inSync 4.0). Hypercache size is fixed in Professional and configurable in Enterprise. Hypercache is an in-memory cache of the most optimal subset of the dedupe index. It’s recommended that you allocate 4GB of hypercache for every 1TB of data.
- inSync 4.1 Enterprise edition supports SSD to store your deduce index for enhanced performance. 4.1 Enterprise with SSD and Hypercache configured gives you a 12x performance compared to 4.0.
- inSync 4.1 Enterprise edition now supports a new administrative role in addition to a Server Administrator. A Profile Administrator role grants permissions to manage one or more user profiles in order to edit profile settings, add users, and manage data restore for those profiles. This is a great way to scale the administration tasks across your organization between server and profile administration. In light of the new role, weÕve enhanced our dashboard and reporting, so an administrator can get a customized view of their reports depending on their role.
- inSync 4.1 Enterprise edition offers an advanced, periodic integration with Active Directory (AD) in addition to a basic, one-time import of users. You can automate the import of users to inSync by attaching a user profile to one or more AD groups.
- inSync 4.1 offers a search capability in AD users/ CSV users listing screen for faster access to users.
- inSync 4.1 now uses email ID’s for admins to login to the Web console.8. inSync 4.1 offers mobile access of your data from iPads and iPhones. Download the newest Apple app at http://itunes.apple.com/app/insync/id420380654?mt=8#
