Druva Phoenix incorporates the following features to deliver unmatched security while backing up over LAN WAN or VPN -
Unlike most other backup offerings, Phoenix uses backup agent initiated network connections. The backup agent opens and maintains a SSL secure connection to the Phoenix backup server, which the backup server can use for initiating any backup/restore requests. This simplifies configuration and aids in security and scalability of the server. The administrator just needs to open one-way secure port for the Phoenix backup server and can securely backup remote servers over VPN or WAN.

Entire network communication between the client and the server is encrypted using 256 bit SSL encryption.
Backup storage at the Phoenix server is encrypted using advanced 256 bit AES encryption. Even the server administrator cannot view the data directly.
The X509 security certificates and AES encryption keys are uniquely generated during Phoenix server installation which enhances security.
