Druva inSync incorporates key features to deliver unmatched performance while backing up email files.

Within an enterprise over 90% of emails or attachment are duplicated across users. The inSync client saves only a single copy of emails/attachments duplicated across users saving backup time bandwidth and usage.
The inSync client uses Windows Volume Shadow Copy service to take a snapshot and non-intrusively backup open files. The snapshot also ensures that the backup (and restore) is 100% consistent.
Druva inSync client automatically detects changes in the network to calculate network latency and available bandwidth. The client then prioritizes bandwidth based on a percentage limit set by the user and chooses optimal packet size to make the best use of the network availability. This is specifically useful for backups over a weak WAN link.

Example:
For example, if an email with 1 MB attachment is sent to 1000 users. Traditional incremental backup software would backup this 1 MB attachment from each of the 1000 different mail boxes. Druva inSync would backup 1 MB from the first user, and then skip all the other 999 copies as duplicates.
This saves over 99.9% backup time, bandwidth and storage.
