Druva inSync offers a unique feature to search for files while restoring the data. The file search shows all the matching files and how they have evolved with time. The user can choose to restore any version of the file from the search results. The file search is simple, completely real-time.

Druva inSync does not use the age old concept of maintaining incremental and differential backups. Instead it uses a concept called "restore points" which are point-in-time snapshots of the backed up data. Each restore point represents a full backup and can be browsed or searched like normal folders. Data deduplication ensures that the cost of maintaining the restore points is minimal.
Druva inSync offers simple self-service search based restored. The end-user can browse or search the restore points to recover the desired data.
When not on PC, the user can open a browser, authenticate himself and access the backed up data on the backup server. The connection to the browser is a secure 256 HTTPS connection.
The administrator can assist the user by searching for files on the user's behalf and then remotely restoring the data on the user's machine.
