Continuous Data Protection

Timeline based, from the past restores.

Continuous Data Protection technology continuously captures or tracks data modifications and stores changes independently of the primary data. The approach creates granular and point-in-time recovery points.

Key Benefits

  • Granular recovery
  • Point-in-time restore points for from-the-past restores
  • All restore points are full restore points to speed up recovery

How It Works

Continuous Data Protection technology creates granular and point-in-time recovery points. The objective is to minimize the loss of data from an unplanned outage and get the application back online instantaneously in a consistent state.

Druva inSync backup server maintains point-in-time copies of data. The user while restoring sees a timeline view of data in form of multiple restores points.

Each restore point is a full restore point and facilitates the user to restore data from any point in the past.
