Dealing with different customers, the definition and amount of "critical" PC data at HCLI is always increasing. "The users have emails archives for past many years. As a technical architect I could see the importance of data specially for the remote uses. Without the PC backup system in place, I could understand that more than just data it was critical customer account information at stake.", says Ajai Barakoti, Technical Architect, Finance/BFSI group.
The problem is not simple as most of the users travel to customer places, with limited access to companies network for days. During the travel the data protection is very vulnerable as there are more chances of loss of laptops due to misplacement or theft. HCLI needed a backup system which protected critical data both in office and while travelling.
